HOW TO DONATE FOOD
We serve nutritious hot lunches every Monday through Friday (more than 38,000 meals in 2009). A hot breakfast is served on Saturday mornings.
Emergency food provisions from our food pantry are made available to almost 200 families each month, and that number is growing.
Here is how you can help us feed community members in need
• Fresh food
We can accept leftover food that has been prepared in a commercial kitchen, such as restaurants and caterers as long as it is labeled with the date, content and name of the organization donating the food.
Due to the Board of Health regulations, Lunch Break cannot accept food that is prepared in residential kitchens.
• Garden fruits and vegetables
We can accept your fresh garden herbs, fruits and vegetables.
• Non perishable food items for our food pantry
One of our most pressing and ongoing challenges is keeping our pantry shelves stocked with food. On our Food Pantry Wish List you will find our most needed items.
• Food drives
A food drive can be held:
• At grocery stores
• At work
• At your church or synagogue
• At your club or organization
• At your school or sporting events
• In your neighborhood

Drop off food donations
Food items can be dropped off at our back door:
• Monday through Friday: 8:00 – 2:30
• Saturday: 9:00 – 12:00
