HOW TO RUN A FOOD DRIVE
Thank you for your interest in helping Lunch Break by organizing a Food Drive.
We are always in need of replenishing our food pantry shelves and every food drive is important to us in helping feed community members in need.
Register your food drive
If you are under the age of 18, parental permission is required to run a Food Drive. Print the Lunch Break Food Drive Registration Form, let your parent or guardian sign the form and send it to Ms. Peg Rizzo, our Pantry Supervisor.
If you are 18 years or older, you can register online
We will provide the support you need. You can call 732 747-8577 or email us at pantry@lunchbreak.org and we will be available to answer your questions.
You will receive written acknowledgment for community service hours upon completion of your food drive.
Select the date(s) and location. Plan the coordination for the pick up.
A drive can be one specific day or several designated dates.
Designate a pre-approved location where the food will be collected (classroom, church, office, grocery store*, home, neighborhood etc.). You must contact grocery stores well in advance for permission to hold a food drive.
Also plan how you pick up the collected food. We can provide you with crates for easy transporting of collected items.
Plan for delivering your donation
We encourage you to bring your bagged or crated, non-perishable food items directly to the back door at Lunch Break.
We are located at 121 Drs. James Parker Boulevard at the corner of Bridge Avenue in Red Bank. We are open Monday through Friday from 8:00am – 2:30pm. Saturdays from 9:00am – 12:00pm. Closed Sundays.
We suggest using Food Drive for Lunch Break to announce your food drive.
You can print and cut our Thank you cards for the donors.
