Cooking Classes
Adult Cooking Demonstration, Thursdays 1:30 - 2:30 p.m.
Rosanne Monroe is on a mission to promote healthy eating. Every Thursday afternoon you will find her sharing out-of-the-ordinary foods like quinoa, kale and fennel with a group of curious adults at Lunch Break.
Rosanne is a recent graduate of Brookdale College with an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts. She is the owner of her own catering business, Deliciously Nutritious Catering, worked as a line chef in Houlihan’s in Holmdel and was a member of the chop shop team at Whole Foods.
She is passionate about sharing her knowledge of healthy food choices and enjoys working with non-profits focusing on food service for those in need. Her position as a pastor’s wife provides many opportunities to engage in a community of spirit where all are welcome at the table.
Some of her recommendations: eat fresh fruits and vegetables whenever possible. If you have to eat canned goods, rinse food to reduce salty or sweetened liquids. Eat soy products, beans and lentils for proteins. Try whole grain pastas and rice.
No registration is necessary for her demonstrations. Just show up and try something new!
