News
In 2010, The Norma K. Todd Service Award was established to honor a person, organization or group who has generously donated their resources, time and talents to promote the mission of Lunch Break. The first award was presented at our 2010 Fall Gala to the family of the late John “Bud” Conklin in his honor. This year’s 2011 award was presented to St Leo the Great Parish for their unfailing generosity and devotion to Lunch Break. Since 1992, St Leo has delivered 150 bag lunches every Saturday to Lunch Break, held food and clothing drives and participated in our Adopt-a-Family program.

On October 14th 2011, Lunch Break hosted its annual Fall Gala to over 350 guests and 50 volunteers at the Two River Theater in Red Bank. The theme of the Gala was “Harvesting Your Help to Feed the Hungry.” Highlights of the evening were a silent and live auction, including  a Jon Bon Jovi guitar for sale. Music was provided by Sue Haugenes and Chuck Lambert. Masters of Ceremony for the live auction were Siobhan Hogan and TM Stevens. Lunch Break proudly thanks our generous sponsors, staff and volunteers, and all who came out to make it a truly great night.
